Sattanathapuram Venkataraman Shekher

Playwright, Producer, Director, Television, Film and Theatre artiste playing lead roles, S.Ve.Shekher is a household name with Tamil connoisseurs, popularly known for his punch, quick wit and humor. His hold over the realm of performing arts since 1974 is commendable.

Sattanathapuram Venkataraman Shekher, known as S.Ve.Shekher, is a Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering with Post Diploma in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. He is also a Sound Recordist, Programme Producer, Still Photographer, Videographer, Editor and Director. He was the editor for the Tamil Magazine “Naradhar”

S.Ve. Shekher’s Natakhapriya so far has produced 24 stage plays and performed more than 5200 shows on stage completed 90 films in Tamil. He was the Regional Chair person of Central Board of Film Censors in Tamil Nadu. Has staged plays at all important towns, villages in Tamil Nadu and many state capitals and union territories. On invitation from Tamil population from USA, Canada, Dubai, Abudhabi, Srilanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Bangkok he has staged full length plays successfully. He has created history in staging full length dramas with all the members of his troupe in United States of America (Bay to East Coast) - a total of 28 shows in 32 days.
